I see many different kinds of stairs in the site. Which stair design do you have that would basically be cheap but at the same time provide me with the best quality of stairs.

Hi abbot402,
Straight stairs are usually the most affordable kind of stairs because they are the easiest to build. Straight stairs are called so because they go straight up from the ground to the next floor.
They’re pretty good stairs but I wouldn’t recommend them for a stair base height (height of the stair from the floor to the next floor) of more than 5 meters. This is due to how unsafe it would be to go up and down the stairs without falling or dizzy spells if you have a medical condition.
If you know that your stair base height is more than 5 meters I’d recommend a different design of straight stairs, that is, a straight stairs with a landing. This will ease the distance and still be cost effective. I hope I’ve been able to answer you question, but if not please let me know.

I don’t know about the straight stair – doesn’t it look rather ugly/plain for a house and doesn’t it occupy just a bit too much space

You’d be surprised at how creative our architects and engineers can be when designing a straight stair.
I believe that aesthetically straight stairs still match the beauty of other stairs. By use of different materials of high quality on these stairs such as glass or maybe perhaps wood or steel these stairs can achieve a beautiful finish.
About the space they occupy - these stairs actually conserve space as they just run straight down from the next floor. They would conservere more space in comparison to say spiral stairs

You mentioned “different materials of high quality” – does that not increase the cost of the stair drastically.
What I was talking about space I was referring to the stair landing that you mentioned, but I looked at some pictures on the site and they don't seem to occupy that much space.
Anyway, doesn't using these different materials such as glass result in a dramatic increase in the cost of the stairs.

No use of alternative stair material will not dramatically increase the cost of your stairs. Most of our dealers make the stair materials themselves thereby making it cost effective.
We always work within the budget that you’ll provide for us and still provide you with a good quality finish of stairs that your looking for.

Do you have any other designs of stairs that you would also consider to be cost effective.

Yes, we have a number of stair designs that have a “good feel” about them while at the same time being aesthetically appealing.
We’ve got spiral stairs, helical stairs and corner stairs. I’ve just send you our online brochure to your email displaying the various types of stairs. They’re all cost effective. If you email me pictures of where you would like your stairs built as well as the budget that you had in mind I’ll be able to give you more specific information about the best kind of stairs for you.
